We are putting another spotlight on the poster this month for World Alzheimer’s Month. Sponsored by British Red Cross, National Dementia Action Alliance produced a poster with Dementia UK’s LEAP and tide that can be displayed in hospitals and summarises the elements of the charter that people living with dementia and carers can see in clear view when they visit. The poster is available for all hospital trusts that are signed up to the NDAA’s Dementia Friendly Hospital Charter and aims to raise awareness of the standards of care that are expected and ultimately to improve the experience of people living with dementia and their carers when they visit hospital.
Dementia Leads will have received an email asking to let us know how you have been using your poster so that we can tweet about it. We would also appreciate if hospital staff can share photos of them with the poster in their hospital using the hashtags #DementiaFriendlyHospitals and #WhatToExpectInHospital; we will ensure that we retweet it. Read more about the charter poster here and here.
