- Why is your organisation committed to the NDAA and the Dementia Statements?
Health Education England (HEE) continues to lead on the delivery of the national dementia education and training requirements outlined by the Department of Health and Social Care’s (DHSC’s) Mandate to HEE and the Prime Minister’s 2020 Challenge on Dementia, ensuring NHS staff have the right skills, values, and behaviours in line with the Dementia Training Standards Framework. HEE’s dementia education and training project works with organisations across health and social care to ensure NHS staff receive appropriate training and have access to high quality training resources. HEE respects the Dementia Statements and is committed to involving those living with dementia and their carers in its work. Our collaboration with the National Dementia Action Alliance helps to facilitate appropriate networking and relationships with those with lived experience, and their carers.
